Janet earned her Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University in 2008, where she also pursued her passion for couples work, obtaining additional certification to specialize in Couples and Families. In addition, from 2008 to 2012 Janet trained with renown expert, Dr. Patrick Carnes, and others, to pursue training in sexual addiction to work with addicts and partners, through IITAP, the International Institute for Trauma & Addiction Professionals. She completed her CSAT certification, a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist, in 2012. In 2013 Janet completed training and consultation hours in EMDR. In June 2015 Janet completed specialized training to treat trauma in partners of sex addicts via APSATS with Dr. Barbara Steffens. In addition, in 2020, Janet completed a new certification via IITAP as a a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist. Janet loves to learn and is ever expanding her professional horizons to offer her clients the best opportunity to heal.

On a Personal Note
Janet enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and enjoys the traditions that bring everyone together. In her free time she relaxes by painting/watercolors, making crafts, playing backgammon, swimming and going to concerts. Janet has always been drawn to the water, particularly the ocean, and enjoys SCUBA and underwater photographer.
